“You said I could leave anything to you.”
Daniel's face contorted as expected, and Elliott added quickly.
“Did you think that I would entrust my siblings to the witch without any measure?”
“And that measure is me.”
"Yes. You are also very good at listening.”
“Somehow, before when you said you were going to look for a nanny, you asked me if I was a paladin…”
"Yes! You are also quick-witted.”
He had been with the ignorant witch all afternoon. His accumulated congestion seemed to go down at once.
“Daniel, as you are well aware, there is nothing more important to me than protecting Luna and Luca. I entrusted you with this task because I trust you the most.”
“...”
Elliott's refreshing smile made Daniel feel frustrated.
The other knights follow the archduke, slaying monsters, and in the meantime, Daniel had to follow the kids and the witch.
However, he knew the archduke’s siblings are the most precious people in the world. He said that he trusted him the most so he was sincere.
“It’s an honor, but if we don’t entrust the children to the witch in the first place, then there wouldn’t be a need for this.”
“Why would I put up with such a dangerous move?”
“You’re seriously asking that?”
“The most important thing right now is to make Luna and Luca wait patiently for me here until I get back.”
“It means that, at least while the witch is here, the Princess and the Prince will be right next to her in the mansion.”
"Yes. She's just some sort of reins for the children.”
The contract with the witch ends the day he returns from subjugation. Even though the witch readily agreed, it seemed like she wasn't listening because she was running around excitedly.
“So, watch until then.”
It was an unreasonable idea like the usual duke. Daniel was forced to accept the unexpected nanny watch role in the end.
“Yes, I will closely monitor to make sure nothing happens. Even so, I'm more relieved that when you come back, you'll kick her out."
"I'll have to think about what to do with the loose ends."
It was like putting out an urgent fire. After a brief sigh of relief, Elliott's forehead, who had turned his gaze back to the paperwork, suddenly wrinkled.
“But that witch is a bit strange.”
"Hm?"
Daniel's face was a little wary, but Elliott shook his head.
“No, it’s not that she’s dangerous…”
He recalled a conversation he had with a witch while riding the horse.
"Aren't you going to ask for conditions?"
"Conditions?"
“Payment or something.”
“I don’t need money. It’s fine."
“…You’re a really weird person."

"When can I meet the chestnuts?"
As soon as I asked, the maid, Miss Valeria, replied with a scowl.
"We don't call Her Highness and His Highness such vulgar words here.”
Chestnuts are bad? It's cute.
I understand because there was a difference in status, but the children didn't get attached to the house because they acted like soldiers.
I looked down at the work rules spread out on the table and sighed helplessly.
I thought I would be able to see the chestnuts right away, but only the maid's education continued for more time now.
In the first hour, I learned the attitude and language etiquette of dealing with the nobility. This was a very useful education, but...
‘I can’t eat with the chestnuts?'
Oh my. But bonding time happens when you eat together. You guys don't know anything.
The work rules training, which has just begun, was really enormous.
"Do not go out with Her Highness and His Highness without permission. Regardless of the daily routine set in the compound, even if you move to an area outside, you will need to obtain permission from the Archduke, butler, or maid."
"So, also if I want to go to the garden there?"
Miss Valeria looked at me as if I were saying something natural and nodded.
"Also, report to Sir Daniel, the captain of the guards, about the individuals and people you meet when you go out with them."
I heard rumors that the duchy was more severe than the imperial palace, but I didn't know it would be this much. Listening to the rules that were being read by the maid one by one, my head felt like it was being steamed.
‘Who memorizes all of this?’
The working rules were about half the size of A4 paper and were as thick as baby nails. In that fairly large note, the rules are densely written in small letters.
‘This is why it was so hard to get a nanny.'
I couldn't understand that everyone quit in a few days over those angel-like children, but now I know for sure. It was all because of these strict regulations.
‘But you blamed the kids? That's too much.'
By the way, as soon as I met the children, I thought I had to stop my ambitious plan to spend the afternoon baking carrot cakes.
"Test?”
The sun was slowly setting outside the window behind the maid who gave me a test paper saying she’ll grade this.

"Oh, and try to refrain from sweets or cakes as much as possible."
After passing the test in one try, Miss Valeria, who was guiding me to the room, suddenly turned around and added another rule.
"I heard that the picky eating of Her Highness and His Highness was solved by sweets. Anyone can use that kind of shortcut.”
"I didn't solve it with sweets.”
Beef stew is not a sweet dish, so I added.
"But anyway, it means the same thing to me. Sweet things cause children obesity and cavities, so I will have to refrain from giving that to them."
"I'm glad we can communicate well. I hope you understand the meaning of not ruining their health by using shortcut methods to win the favor of the children."
I could tell from Miss Valeria's displeasure that these people completely misunderstood that I bought the children's favor by giving them only sweets.
"I made the cake and cookies with my heart full only when the children were hungry on the first day, and then I reduced it. I'm a nanny with a lot of experience.”
Miss Valeria glanced at me with an unexpected gaze and spoke in a slightly relaxed voice.
"Your Highnesses."
She corrected me and took another step.
The nanny's room was between the children's rooms. I really liked that.
"Wow, they give a nanny this kind of room too."
When I opened the door and entered, I was surprised. I couldn't believe that the only place I have left after entering my entire cabin is a nanny's private space.
Even the bathroom was attached separately.
"That's right, the working conditions have to be superior to other places in order to...”
Standing at the door, Miss Valeria muttered like a sigh.
"But I'm uncomfortable with such a big and fancy room.”
Since Korea, I have never lived in a big house. I didn't like being left alone in a large space because I wasn’t good with loneliness.
Isn't it scary to sleep alone in a place like this? The bed with pillars and canopy seemed like three adults could sleep there.
"It's better to sleep in my cabin."
"Miss Hazel, you already forgot about the work rules about going out..."
"Oh, don't worry about that. I'll follow the rules thoroughly."
Only then did Miss Valeria sigh in relief. However, the eyebrows of the maid who was looking at me were crooked in an unusual shape.
"What's wrong?"
"It's not that you didn't bring your stuff, right?"
I looked down at my empty hands and smiled awkwardly.
It was a burden. I couldn't wait to see the children, so I got here right away.
When she saw me like that, she sighed again with a worried face.
"You have to start working right now, but with that kind of clothes...”
"What's wrong with this outfit? It's comfortable, and I washed it clean.”
I was wearing a red, knee-length dress with a shoulder strap on top of a white blouse. It was a common attire for commoners here.
"It's..."
The maid opened the door and soon closed it, ordering something from the maid standing outside the door. Soon, I received the luxurious maid's uniform brought by her and changed it without a word.
'This makes me feel like I'm really a servant of the duchy…'
Someone knocked on the door as I looked around in front of the mirror.
‘Is it the chestnuts?’
I opened the door with a big smile.
Disappointingly, the person standing behind the door was a servant I had never seen before.
"Oh, hey..."
The servant looked anxiously around and shook his neatly gathered hands. What is it? Is he not feeling well?
"What's up?"
"The chef is looking for the witch, no, nanny..."
"Me?"
"Yes, yes. He needs help with…”
Dinner time was approaching. The children said they don't eat well, but I guess they need my help. If it's like this, I'm going to run.
"Really? Let's go now."
As I was about to go out of the door, the servant bowed his head to me and walked away alone.
"Oh, I don't know where the kitchen is..."
When I went out to the hallway and closed the door, he had already disappeared.
‘Which way should I go?’
I was standing in the empty hallway and contemplating for a moment. Then, I headed to the left.
‘The mansion is really big.’
My legs were about to hurt from all the walking.
Still, I was asking the soldiers who stood by everywhere. At first, I felt like I was going round and round because I kept going the wrong direction.
'What can all these rooms possibly be even used for?’
As I was walking through a long hallway looking at the colorful doors, someone suddenly called me from behind.
